Daddy Dearest wanted new golf grips for the big day, but he needed them for an event a few weeks ago, so I was a little afraid that our Father's Day may be a bit anti-climatic.
So, I dusted off my teacher skills and whipped up some coupons. Because, what's Father's Day without a little cheesy, homemade gift?
And what's Father's Day without breakfast in bed? Hopefully an okay one, because ours didn't quite make it in bed. :) Life with a 3 month-old calls for flexibility and luckily breakfast in front of the Golf Channel was just as good.
Sidenote: Making your own (vanilla) lattes is super easy and, I think, an essential teacher-skill. We've got to get that calcium and caffeine somehow! I microwave about a cup of milk with about one tablespoon or so of vanilla creamer for a minute. Next, while that milk is good and thin, whip it in a blender to froth the milk. Add your favorite coffee, pulse a few times to mix 'er up, and enjoy hot or over ice. Delish!
We topped off our Father's Day with time in the swing and a walk in the stroller. It was sweet and simple, just the way we like things.
In the spirit of simple and sweet, you are welcome to borrow our coupons and tweak them for your own use. They aren't anything fancy and images are from clker.com and mycutegraphics.com.
Happy Father's Day!
Amanda
