Welcome to my little corner of the blog-o-sphere! My name is Amanda and I have been lucky enough to teach Kindergarten for six years in the very sweetest PK-1 building in Central Illinois. I love the joy and challenge each day and each child brings, and the cherry on top is getting to collaborate, laugh, and learn with five other amazing women in my Kindergarten hallway. Add to the mix a Kindergarten-teaching mom, mother-in-law, and Jr. Kindergarten teacher for a sister-in-law, and you've got a whole lot of teaching ideas and Kindergarten-love bouncing all over the place!
I'm so thrilled for where blogs, Pinterest, Teachers Pay Teachers, and so many other social media sources have brought our profession: we truly are in an era of collaboration that is benefiting students and teachers alike. I wanted to be a part of it all, and The Kindergarten Bandit was born.
Of course, life is not all about Kindergarten. I'm married to the most handsome and caring man I know and we recently became a family of three when we gave birth to a little boy whom we absolutely adore. We love being active and traveling and participating in our church - my husband even teaches the Kindergarteners during the Wednesday night program!
